ARLETA — Two teenage boys were wounded Monday after a gunman in a Cadillac fired several shots at a Honda, hitting one victim in the vehicle and another who attempted to run from the scene, police said.
The shooting took place around 6:35 p.m. in the 13600 block of Branford Street near Woodman Avenue, said Los Angeles police spokesman Jason Lee. Police suspect the shooting was gang related.
The victims, one wounded in the arm and the other in the chest, were thought to be 18 or 19. They were taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills and Northridge Hospital Medical Center, authorities said.
Lee said officers were searching for two men who fled the scene of the shooting in an older model, brown or dark green Cadillac.
