Isn’t “American Beauty” one of the biggest grossing movies around and didn’t Hollywood recently award it with its highest accolades?
Then why the big controversy when it allegedly happens in real life as at Los Alamitos High School?
We coyly hold up Hollywood’s mediocrity as great insight into the American Way of Life, all the while feigning revulsion when the chickens come home to roost.
