Late Goals Give Phoenix 4-2 Win

Sean Whyte scored a power-play goal in the third period and John Kosobud scored two goals, including an empty-netter, as the Phoenix Mustangs defeated the Long Beach Ice Dogs, 4-2, Saturday night at Long Beach Arena.

Kelly Askew scored both of the Ice Dog goals, the first coming only 50 seconds into the game and the second on a power play at 7:55 of the first period.
