In other nonleague games:
Corona del Mar 12, Long Beach Poly 3--Danielle Carlson scored four goals and had eights steals for visiting Corona Del Mar (4-1), ranked fifth in the county. Christina Hewko and Brittany Bowlus each added three goals for the Sea Kings, and goalie Jessica Wells had five saves.
El Cajon Valhalla 10, San Clemente 9--San Clemente’s Christina Kuno scored with 2:06 remaining in the match to tie the score at 9-9, but Jodie Needles scored 12 seconds later for Valhalla (9-1).
Needles, a junior national team member, finished with six goals, while Kuno had five. Stephanie Cadman added two goals for the Tritons (11-2), who are ranked 10th in the county.
In the Brea Olinda boys’ soccer tournament:
Servite 3, Villa Park 1--Jeff Murphy scored all three goals for the Friars (3-3-1) and Raemund Ruiz, Logan Nicks and Vince LaRosa earned assists. Jake Huber scored for Villa Park.
In the South Torrance tournament:
Santa Margarita 1, Gahr 0--Junior Matt Holtrust scored on an assist from Luke Boughen in the 65th minute for the Eagles (9-1), who are ranked fourth in the county.
In nonleague boys’ soccer:
No. 7 Fountain Valley 1, University 1--Muluwa Manda scored for Fountain Valley just before halftime, and Yohei Fukuda tied it for University on a penalty kick with 15 minutes to go.
In nonleague girls’ soccer:
Canyon 2, Los Alamitos 1--Alecia Alianell tied the score in the 47th minute and Laura Ludeman knocked in the game-winner in the 62nd minute for the Comanches (9-2). Jennifer Merrell assisted on both goals. Carmen Munoz scored for Los Alamitos.
