If it’s almost spring, it must be time for annual corporate hit lists from activist investors. The California Public Employees’ Retirement System on Tuesday identified 10 companies it plans to pressure to improve their stock performance. The list: Advanced Micro Devices; A.G. Edwards; Bob Evans Farms; Crown Cork & Seal; First Union; Intergraph Corp.; J.C. Penney; Phycor; Rite Aid; and Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon.
