Contestants Invited to Pitch Movie Ideas
Aspiring filmmakers have until Monday to register for “The WorldWide Pitch Festival,” an Internet contest offering the winner a $1-million production deal facilitated by Net Worth Productions.
After registering their idea at https://www.showbizdata.com, participants will be asked to submit a two- to five-minute video of themselves pitching their proposed film. The tapes will then be played over the Web to a jury of Hollywood professionals meeting in Park City, Utah, during Jan. 21-29.
Open auction bids on individual pitches also will be accepted via the Internet.
The pitch festival is timed to coincide with the Sundance Film Festival.
