The Boys & Girls Club of Capistrano Valley received $30,000 on Monday in Orange County funds to help build a new permanent facility that will serve up to 350 children a day, three times as many as the existing facility.
The grant will help complete an 11,000-square-foot facility which will include game rooms, a learning center and computer lab. The money came at the request of Orange County Supervisor Tom Wilson.
The $1.5-million facility is expected to open in May at 25925 Camino del Avion, said Jim Williams, executive director of the Capistrano Valley Boys & Girls Club..
