Runs Like Clockwork

I enjoy your monthly Gear & Gadgets column and wanted to share a positive experience I had with one of the vendors that has been featured in the column. This month I purchased a travel radio-alarm clock from Magellan’s, a Santa Barbara-based travel supplies store. The clock was defective.
I called the store to ask how I should go about returning the clock, as I wasn’t planning to be in the area soon. The store said it would immediately send me a new clock and would include a postage-paid envelope to return the defective one. Two days later I received a new clock.
