Rape Law in Mexico

Re “Rights Groups Decry Mexico Rape Law,” Aug. 29: Chihuahua, Mexico, rape law “provides for reduced sentences for rapes considered to have been ‘provoked’ by the victim.” Does this mean the men in Chihuahua, like many men in the U.S., see women as sexual objects only? That a man is helpless when he sees this sexual object? Boy, oh boy, some men’s egos are just that--the egos of boys.
