‘Dr. Laura’ Revealed

Re “Mother of ‘Dr. Laura’ Found Dead,” Dec. 21: “Dr. Laura” Schlessinger has spent years admonishing people on morality and family values. She regularly dispenses a harsh and intolerant brand of advice while using the snide tag line, “I am my children’s mother.” Now we learn that she so ostracized her own mother that when the poor woman was apparently murdered and had lain dead for “as long as two months,” no one, least of all the good “doctor,” even noticed. Obviously, Dr. Laura wasn’t her mother’s daughter, just another right-wing phony now revealed.
