U.S. Goes for Another Gold Against Canada
- Share via
It’s no surprise that the United States and Canada will meet in today’s women’s ice hockey final, a rematch of the 1998 gold-medal game. The United States won that game, 3-1, in a mild upset. This time, it would be an upset if the Canadians won.
Canada has won three world championships since Nagano, but the United States’ record against the Canadians in exhibitions this year is 8-0. In the two Olympics with women’s hockey, the United States is 10-0 and has outscored opponents, 67-9.
