Five Southland Players Picked for All-Star Game

Five girls’ basketball players from Southern California will compete in the Phoenix/WBCA High School All-America Game April 6 in Hartford, Conn.
Tyesha Fluker of Pasadena Muir, a 6-foot-4 center who will play for Tennessee next season, will be joined by guard Nikki Blue (Bakersfield/UCLA), forward Wilnett Crockett (Harbor City Narbonne/Connecticut), guard Alexis Kendrick (Playa del Rey St. Bernard/Georgia) and forward Courtney LaVere (Ventura Buena/Notre Dame).
