The Washington Monument was scheduled to reopen this weekend after being closed since 2000 as part of a $10-million renovation that has included a new elevator, improved security screening and repair of exterior stones. For tickets, call (800) 967-2283 or visit reservations.nps.gov. Tickets are also available on site on a first-come, first-served basis.
