Art Imitating Life

It’s incredible that Catholics or anyone else would be offended at the display in question (“Catholics Slam Napa Art Exhibit,” Jan. 5). I attended the Copia museum recently, and among the figurines was one that looked just like me--a reasoned but aging atheist! It provoked a guffaw similar to those expressed in my 9-year-old son’s occasional bathroom humor, but do I deny that my body functions like any other? Of course not. The museum is about sustenance, and “pooping” is part of that equation, no matter how religious fervor would demand that some deny it.
