Canyon Springs’ Smith Commits to Arizona State

Tron Smith, a 6-2 guard from Moreno Valley Canyon Springs High, has made an early commitment to Arizona State. Smith, who is ranked as high as the No. 17 recruit in the nation by one scouting service, will be a senior.

* Brian Jacobsen of Agoura, a 6-2 pitcher who played the last two seasons at Pierce College, has signed a letter of intent to play at Pittsburgh.
