Marc Moreland, lead guitarist of the 1980s new wave band Wall of Voodoo, died Wednesday in France of complications from a liver transplant. Moreland, who grew up in West Covina, was 44.

R. Keith Walden, founder of Farmers Investment Co., the firm that supplies about 5% of the nation’s pecans, died March 11 after a short illness in Green Valley, Ariz. He was 88.
