Gasoline Pump Prices Go Up Again

Pump prices jumped an additional 6.5 cents in the last week, bringing the U.S. average for self-serve regular gasoline to $1.288 a gallon, the highest price in five months, the Energy Information Administration said.
California motorists were paying the highest price at $1.498 a gallon, up 4.4 cents from last week but down 19.7 cents from a year ago.
At this time last year, the U.S. average price was 11.6 cents higher than the current average, determined through a survey of 800 service stations.
Los Angeles prices rose nearly 4 cents to $1.483 a gallon. A year ago, the average price of gasoline was 12.5 cents more.
