Gas Prices May Rise 8 to 10 Cents a Gallon

U.S. retail gasoline will probably rise 8 to 10 cents a gallon by June as demand from motorists grows toward its annual peak, the Energy Department said. Prices still would be 12% below a record set last year.
Pump prices in the U.S. may average around $1.50 a gallon by June after averaging $1.40 in April, the department predicted.
The department also said gasoline prices increased for the first time in four weeks, rising a slight 0.2 cents a gallon over the last week to an average $1.395.
The West Coast had the most expensive regular self-serve gasoline, with the average price in the region down 1.1 cents a gallon to $1.527.
