Police Say Items From Landfill Could Aid Probe

Police said “several items” have been discovered at the city landfill that may be helpful in the investigation into the late-April disappearance of 2-year-old Jahi Turner.
“We won’t discuss what they are, but we will be evaluating them,” said police spokesman Bill Robinson.
On Monday, 75 police officers and dozens of members of the California Conservation Corps combed through tons of trash at the landfill for a seventh day.
The search is now complete, Robinson said.
The boy’s stepfather, Tieray Jones, said he disappeared from an annex to Balboa Park when Jones walked away to buy a soft drink.
