Anglicans in the Region Cut Ties With U.S. Peers

The Anglican Church in Southeast Asia announced it has broken ties with its U.S. counterpart for consecrating openly gay bishop V. Gene Robinson.
Archbishop Yong Ping Chung, Anglican primate for Southeast Asia, said leaders representing about 170,000 Anglicans in nine countries voted unanimously Nov. 20 to cut ties with the U.S. Episcopal Church.
