Schmidt, the San Francisco right-hander, is 5-6 with a 4.79 ERA in 18 games against the Dodgers but is 3-1 with a 3.82 ERA in his last five starts against them. Shawn Green is hitting .714 (10 for 14) against Schmidt, with two homers.
