Final top 10 rankings of boys’ tennis teams in the Southland:

1. CORONA DEL MAR (24-0, SS-Div. I)

Spent all season atop rankings, then proved it belonged there by routing Santa Barbara for Division I title.

2. TROY (29-3, SS-Div. II)

Redeemed nonleague loss to Palm Desert by beating Aztecs for Division II title.

3. SANTA BARBARA (18-4, SS-Div. I)

Did more with doubles and despite injuries than any other Southland team.

4. PALM DESERT (23-1, SS-Div. II)

Watch out for Aztecs next year. Division II runners-up return all but one player.

5. LOS ALAMITOS (18-4, SS-Div. I)

On rankings’ periphery all season, Division I semifinalist won 14 of last 16 matches.

6. HARVARD-WESTLAKE (22-3, SS-Div. I)

Season-long group effort -- sans a superstar -- took Wolverines to quarterfinals, where they lost to Los Alamitos.

7. BRENTWOOD (21-5, SS-Div. IV)

After three consecutive title-match losses in other divisions, Eric McKean & Co. finally soared to a championship.

8. EL CAMINO REAL (16-0, City)

Became first City Section team to win four consecutive titles since Palisades won five in a row from 1995 to 1999.

9. PENINSULA (20-4, SS-Div. I)

Panthers’ 1-2 punch of Trevor Dobson and Whitney Reed helped them advance to semifinals.

10. REDONDO (24-1, SS-Div. IV)

With Nathan Stadler in singles and Nick Berger in doubles, unheralded Seahawks rolled under the radar.
