Legislators to Discuss Green Businesses at CSUCI Hearing

Two California legislators will head a public hearing from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. today at Cal State Channel Islands in Camarillo on environmentally friendly businesses and their effect on employment growth and the overall economy of California.
The hearing will be led by Assemblywoman Hannah-Beth Jackson (D-Santa Barbara), chairwoman of the Natural Resources Committee and Assemblyman Mark Ridley-Thomas (D-Los Angeles), chairman of the Jobs, Economic Development and the Economy Committee.
Representatives from local businesses that have adopted so-called green practices also will make presentations.
Participants can follow signs on campus to Conference Room 1.
