Girl Taken at Gunpoint Turns Up 12 Hours Later

Twelve hours after being taken from her mother at gunpoint, a 15-year-old Gardena girl turned up safe, sheriff’s deputies said Sunday.
Ashley Odessa Landry was found near Western Avenue and El Segundo Boulevard about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, deputies said. She was with her mother in a parked vehicle at Compton Boulevard and San Pedro Street on Saturday when two men got out of another car about 10 a.m. and took the teen at gunpoint.
