Man, 61, Held in Kid-Porn Mailing

A Dana Point man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of distributing child pornography via mail.
Richard Carroll, 61, is scheduled to appear in U.S. District Court in Santa Ana today on charges that he sent two CDs containing pictures of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct to an undercover postal inspector with whom he had conversed on the Internet.
The charges carry a penalty of up to 20 years, a postal service spokeswoman said.
