Man Wanted in Murder Killed in Shootout

A man wanted on suspicion of murder was killed by police Monday after trading shots with officers in a residential neighborhood.
Officers in a task force tried to serve an arrest warrant at 3:20 p.m. at a house in the 5700 block of Troth Street. The man fled with a handgun, authorities said.
He was later found in a yard and exchanged gunfire with officers as he fled, authorities said. He was shot in the 5700 block of Ridge View Avenue.
Neither his name nor details of the killing for which he was sought were available.
