* Brandon Jennings, Compton Dominguez: Scored 24 points to lead the Dons, ranked No. 5 in the Southland by The Times, to a 98-88 victory over Brooklyn (N.Y.) Lincoln in the fifth-place game of the Ft. Myers (Fla.) Bishop Verot tournament.

* Jonathan Willis, Lakewood Mayfair: Scored 26 points in a 60-54 upset victory over No. 21 Diamond Ranch (8-1) in the championship semifinal of the Chino Hills Ayala tournament.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

* Hailey Dunham, L.A. Windward: The USC-bound senior scored 24 points and her UCLA-bound backcourt mate, Erica Latimer, added 12 as the Wildcats (10-2), ranked No. 9 by The Times, beat No. 17 Santa Margarita, 46-41, in the Blue Division championship game of the Nike Tournament of Champions in Chandler, Ariz.

* Lauren Sahli, Villa Park: Scored a game-high 17 points in leading the No. 14 Spartans past Fullerton Rosary, 36-29, in the Green Division championship game of the Nike Tournament of Champions.

* Haywood Wright, Newport Beach Sage Hill: Had 19 points, 19 rebounds and 11 blocks in a 51-47 Downey Calvary Chapel tournament victory over Whittier Christian.
