New Funds for Assessor, Public Defender’s Office

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved its budget for the coming fiscal year Tuesday, signing off on minor changes made by the county executive office.
The final version will include more animal control staffers, including employees for a mobile spay-neuter unit. It will also have more funds for the county assessor’s and public defender’s office and will double the $10 million originally slated for capital improvements.
