August Wilson Funeral and Viewing Are Set

The funeral for playwright August Wilson, who died of cancer Sunday at 60, will be at noon Saturday at Soldiers and Sailors National Military Museum and Memorial in Pittsburgh. There will be a viewing from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at White Memorial Chapel in Pittsburgh.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests that a donation be made to one of these organizations: Richard Hugo House in Seattle, the Playwrights’ Center in Minneapolis, Congo Square Theatre Company in Chicago or Cave Canem in New York City.
