Jeff Valdez, co-founder of Si TV, will step down as head of programming but continue to serve as chairman of the Los Angeles-based cable channel, the company said.
Edward R. Leon, the network’s senior vice president of production, will assume the additional role of acting head of programming.
The management shake-up comes after the August appointment of Michael Schwimmer as chief executive. Schwimmer is a former top lieutenant at EchoStar Communications Corp., a major investor in the channel, an English-language network for young Latino viewers.
