A 70-year-old man dubbed the “senior citizen bandit” has pleaded guilty to armed robbery for holding up banks in three Western states, including three in Orange County, authorities said Wednesday.
Charles Minrow, of Pennsylvania, will be sentenced early next year for the robberies in Fresno, Utah, Arizona and Southern California.
The robberies occurred in 2005, officials said.
Minrow was arrested in January outside a motel in Thousand Palms. He was accused of entering the banks wearing a baseball cap and casual clothes, showing a gun and handing over bags to be filled with money.
