Woman, 19, Convicted in 2004 Stabbing Death

An Anaheim teenager was convicted Monday of second-degree murder and could face 15 years to life in prison in the fatal stabbing of another teenager during an alley fight, prosecutors said.
Nuvia J. Constantino, 19, was a minor at the time of the slaying but was tried as an adult in Orange County Superior Court in Santa Ana. She is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 4.
Constantino and a friend, Linda Duarte, got into a fight with Yolanda Veloz, 17, in January 2004 after a weeks-long feud. Veloz died after being stabbed in the neck, heart and lung. One of her friends was wounded in the incident.
Veloz has been identified in previous news stories by the last name Acevedo.
