VaxGen settles with U.S. over canceled contract

VaxGen Inc., which cut half its workforce after losing a contract to make anthrax vaccine, said it was settling with the U.S. government for $11 million.
The agreement also releases the U.S. Health and Human Services Department and Brisbane, Calif.-based VaxGen of all liabilities related to contracts to develop anthrax vaccine, the company said.
