Opposition to merger foolish

The Federal Trade Commission is way out of line in opposing the combination of Whole Foods Market Inc. and Wild Oats Markets Inc. (“Wild Oats buyout said bad for prices,” June 9). All the major grocery chains are now selling organic produce and other grocery items such as milk, eggs and canned foods. I shop at both Whole Foods and Wild Oats and don’t find their organics any more expensive than what is being sold at other markets. I don’t think that the prices will increase with a merger, and even if they do I’ll still shop there.
