Douglas Emmett buys 6 buildings

Santa Monica-based property owner Douglas Emmett Inc. said it has bought six office buildings for $610 million. The seller was Los Angeles office landlord Arden Realty Inc., according to knowledgeable industry sources who asked not to be identified because terms of the deal were confidential.
The purchase comes to $428 per square foot for the buildings located in its core Los Angeles area submarkets -- Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Sherman Oaks/Encino and Warner Center/Woodland Hills.
