‘Marley’ nips at her heels

Re “ ‘Marley’: Sniff, Whimper,” by Glenn Whipp, Dec. 30: My family went to see “Marley & Me” on Christmas Day. I had not read the book, but we are all big dog fans. The trailers for the film looked entertaining. All I can say is that I am glad that my daughter is almost 12 and not any younger. This movie is being marketed as a lighthearted holiday film for families. And it is anything but.
Don’t get me wrong, I actually thought the film was good. But I am so mad about the positioning and marketing of it. If my daughter had been any younger, I would have demanded my money back for false advertising. Fox, what were you thinking? Oh . . . could it be making money?
