New York 98, at New Jersey 91: The Knicks (3-9) won their second in a row and proved that worse basketball is played 10 miles away. The Nets fell to 0-13, inching closer to the NBA record of 17 losses to start a season.

at Cleveland 97, Philadelphia 91: LeBron James scored 32 points and the Cavaliers held the 76ers to 10 points in the fourth quarter. Cavaliers center Shaquille O’Neal sat out for the fifth game in a row.

Milwaukee 103, at Memphis 89: Rookie Brandon Jennings scored 24 of his 26 points in the second half, and the Bucks won their third in a row. Rudy Gay had 24 points and 10 rebounds, but Memphis had its three-game winning streak snapped.

at San Antonio 106, Washington 84: Tony Parker, playing for only the second time in six games because of a sore ankle, scored 17 points as the Spurs ended a three-game losing streak.

at Houston 113, Sacramento 106: Luis Scola scored 22 points and grabbed key rebounds in the final minutes for the Rockets.

at Denver 112, Chicago 93: Carmelo Anthony, the NBA’s leading scorer, had 30 points and the Nuggets picked up their 15th consecutive regular-season win at home.

at Utah 100, Detroit 97 (OT): Carlos Boozer scored 18 of his 22 points in the second half and overtime to lead the Jazz to its fourth win in a row.

at Portland 106, Minnesota 78: Martell Webster had 21 points and 13 rebounds and the Timberwolves fell to 1-12.
