Update: Minnesota is off to a poor start, but the Wild’s single victory came against the Ducks. The Ducks went 2-1-1 on a four-game trip, ending with a 3-0 loss to the New York Rangers on Sunday in the second game of a back-to-back. The mixed results left Coach Randy Carlyle confident the team is capable but searching for consistency. Center Todd Marchant skated Tuesday and expects to play tonight despite taking a hit against the boards Sunday. Of more concern is the absence of defenseman James Wisniewski, who will sit out a second consecutive game because of a sprained right shoulder and isn’t expected to begin skating until late in the week. Minnesota’s Cal Clutterbuck is on injured reserve because of a sprained ankle and Petr Sykora is bothered by a pulled groin.
