Regarding Barbara Isenberg’s piece on “The Laramie Project” (“Providing an epilogue to ‘Laramie’ ” Oct. 11)
I was a part of a high school production of this “play” back in 2002. It’s not necessarily the content but its documentary aspect that doesn’t work as a play. My feelings about this were confirmed when I asked many people in the audience after the show.
So, you have a documentary-style “play” that is based off more speculation than anyone would care to admit. If you want to do a play of the Matt Shepard story as you perceive it, then actually render it as a story, not a bunch of interviews.
