Sergio Mendes In the annals of Brazil’s tropicalia music, there is Sergio Mendes, and there are Sergio Mendes acolytes. His rhythmically tricky, melodically rich compositions defined the genre in his home country yet also proved a fertile base for pop and jazz crossovers. Here he plays with the similarly cosmopolitan, tropics-infused Morcheeba. Hollywood Bowl, 2031 N. Highland Ave., L.A. 8:30 p.m. $30-$156. https://www.hollywoodbowl.com
