Danny Granger sells Hollywood Hills home for $3.8 million

NBA forward Danny Granger has parted ways with his home in the Hollywood Hills, selling the sleek contemporary formerly owned by “Dawson’s Creek” screenwriter Kevin Williamson for $3.8 million.

Built in modern style in 1990, the residence sports an open floor plan with 15-foot-high ceilings, walls of glass and city views. The 6,657 square feet of living space contains a gourmet kitchen, a gym with a sauna, a home theater, four bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms

Prime for entertaining, grounds of more than half an acre include three wrap-around terraces, a pool and spa, a cabana and an outdoor wet bar.

Granger, 31, finished last season with the Clippers after he was dealt by the Indiana Pacers to the Philadelphia 76ers and subsequently waived. The former all-star agreed to a two-year pact worth $4.25 million with the Miami Heat during the off-season.

The veteran forward paid $3.715 million to buy the home from Williamson, a force behind the “Scream” film series and “The Vampire Diaries,” in July 2012. He had asked as much as $3.995 million for the home last year and previously offered the property for lease at $25,000 a month.

Howard Zuckerman of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California listed the home on behalf of Granger. Kevin Jobe of John Aaroe Group represented the buyer in the sale, which closed Tuesday morning.
