Batman Forever producer Kevin Messick sells in Hancock Park

Film producers Kevin and Jill Messick have sold their home in Hancock Park for $2,135,500.
The house had been priced at $1.795 million and sold in a little more than a month.
Clad in ivy, the brick-lined residence mixes soft interiors with leaded glass windows, hardwood flooring, French doors and detailed molding. The 2,446 square feet of living space includes a formal living room, a dining room, an updated kitchen, three bedrooms and two full bathrooms.
The landscaped grounds include a patio with built-in barbecue area, manicured gardens and generous lawn space. A converted garage adds an additional bedroom suite, bath, bonus room and kitchenette.
Kevin Messick has been tied to a number of action vehicles over the years, including “Batman Forever” (1995), “Jack Reacher” (2012) and “Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters” (2013). Jill Messick’s film credits include “Frida” (2002), “Mean Girls” (2004) and “Hot Rod” (2007).
The couple paid $1.25 for the property in 2003, public records show. Sharona Alperin and Marc Noah of Sotheby’s International Realty listed the home on behalf of the Messicks. Jane Schore of Coldwell Banker-Sunset Boulevard represented the buyer in the sale, which closed on Aug. 1.
