A Bedford, N.Y., home owned by actress Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas has come on the market for $8.1 million.
A long gated drive leads to the painted brick Colonial-style house, which sits on about 5 acres surrounded by horse farm.
Built in the 1930s, the house was renovated last year to include an expansive master suite closet, a guest house with a gym and a state-of-the-art kitchen. The 6,600 square feet of living space includes a center hall, six bedrooms and six bathrooms.
Outdoor amenities include gardens, a greenhouse, a pool and a spa.
Douglas, 69, won Academy Awards for producing “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” (1975) and acting for “Wall Street” (1987). He starred this summer in the romantic comedy “And So It Goes” and will be in the upcoming thriller “The Reach.”
Zeta-Jones, 44, won a supporting actress Oscar for the film version of “Chicago” (2002) and a Tony for the lead in “A Little Night Music.” Last year she was in the movies “Red 2” and “Broken City.”
The couple bought the property in 2010 for $5.075 million, according to Zillow, which broke the news of the listing.
Craig Siano of Siano & Co. is the listing agent.
