Warner Bros. Chief Executive and Chairman Barry Meyer sent the following email to employees Friday afternoon following the early-morning massacre at a screening of the Burbank studio’s movie “The Dark Knight Rises” in Colorado:
Dear Colleagues:
The entire Warner Bros. family joins our nation and the world in shock and sadness following the incident that occurred in Colorado early this morning. We extend our deepest sympathies to the families and loved ones of the victims at this time.
This senseless violence and tragic loss of life reach far beyond that small community and touch every one of us.
At a time such as this, we can draw strength and solace from our families, colleagues and friends. If you have any thoughts or concerns regarding what has happened, I encourage you to reach out to your human resources team.
Please join the company in sending our thoughts and prayers to those affected by these events.
Sincerely,
Barry Meyer
