A fiery post-bop saxophonist who first came up as part of Miles Davis’ band in the late ‘80s and early ‘90, Kenny Garrett could be counted on for a number of scene-stealing turns while touring with Chick Corea’s Grammy-nominated Five Peace Band — no small feat considering he was paired with Corea and guitar great John McLaughlin.
