SERIES
Last Man Standing: Vanessa (Nancy Travis), worn out from Thanksgiving, longs for a quiet, no-fuss Christmas with just her and Mike (Tim Allen). Flynn Morrison, Molly Ephraim, Kaitlyn Dever also star in this new episode (8 p.m. ABC).
Kitchen Nightmares: Chef Ramsay revisits three eateries —? Cafe Hon, Chierello and Leones — to see whether the owners heeded his advice in this new episode (8 p.m. Fox).
SPECIALS
Holiday specials: CBS celebrates the holidays with a trio of animated specials, starting with the classic “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” (8 p.m.). Then Beatrice Miller, Alfred Molina Neil Patrick Harris and Jennifer Love Hewitt lend their voices to “Yes, Virginia” (9 p.m.), and at 9 p.m. an elf tries to help a young boy who is struggling to believe in Christmas in “The Elf on the Shelf: An Elf’s Story” (9 p.m. CBS).
I Bought a Famous House: This new special visits homes once owned by celebrities, including Madonna’s Hollywood Hills mansion and homes that once belonged to Frank Sinatra and Paris Hilton (8 p.m. HGTV). That’s followed at 9 by “Celebrity Holiday Homes,” in which the homes of Haylie Duff, Lisa Lampanelli and Tamara Tunie are decorated for the holidays by “Design Star” winners.
MOVIES
All About Christmas Eve: The scheduling of a Christmas Eve bash jeopardizes a party planner’s vacation in this new holiday treat starring Haylie Duff (8 p.m. Lifetime).
Magical Mystery Tour: John, Paul, George and Ringo take a psychedelic bus trip through the English countryside in this odd 1967 musical road trip (10 p.m. KOCE).
SPORTS
College Basketball: Charlotte at Miami (4 p.m. FS Prime).
Pro basketball: The Lakers visit the Washington Wizards (4 p.m. TWSN); the Boston Celtics visit the Houston Rockets (5 p.m. ESPN); the Memphis Grizzlies visit the Denver Nuggets (7:30 p.m. ESPN).
College football: NCAA FCS Division I, Semifinal: Georgia Southern at North Dakota State (5 p.m. ESPN2).
High school football: CIF Division I Final (8 p.m. TWSN).
