A bus burst into flames on the 101 Freeway in Calabasas on Saturday afternoon but no one was injured, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver and any passengers apparently escaped the bus before it caught fire on the right shoulder at around 4:10 p.m., said Officer Monica Posada of the California Highway Patrol. The eastbound lanes were shut down for about half an hour near the Mureau Road exit.
It is not clear what caused the fire or whether the bus had crashed before the fire, Posada said. No further information was available about the incident.
