Letters: Why Caroline Kennedy?

Re “Caroline Kennedy picked as diplomat,” July 25
Speaking on the economy Wednesday, President Obama told of “the trend of a winner-take-all economy where a few are doing better and better and better” and said that “this growing inequality is not just morally wrong, it’s bad economics.”
This, on the same day he announced Caroline Kennedy’s nomination for the job of ambassador, her qualification being that she happens to be a Kennedy.
Obama’s rhetoric brings to mind the truism, “Watch what I do, not what I say.”
