Residential and commercial trash pickup and street sweeping schedules will be adjusted this week because of Thursday’s Thanksgiving holiday.
Trash collection in Laguna Beach, Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley will be delayed one day for customers normally served on Thursday and Friday.
Street sweeping will not occur Thursday throughout Laguna Beach, and only commercial areas will be swept Friday, according to a news release.
Parking restrictions related to street sweeping will not apply on Thursday and Friday, though all other parking rules will be in effect, said Jim Beres, Laguna Beach police civilian services administrator.
Street sweeping schedules will return to normal Saturday.
In Huntington Beach and Newport Beach, street sweeping will be canceled Thursday and Friday.
In Fountain Valley, sweeping will be done Friday for customers normally served on Thursday. For customers normally served on Friday, it will be done Nov. 28, according to the city website.
