Football: Cameron Griffin leads View Park Prep to City Section Division III championship
- Share via
UCLA-bound linebacker Cameron Griffin is such a good athlete that View Park Prep uses him all over the field. And that’s what he was doing on Saturday in the City Section Division III championship game. He had three touchdown runs and finished with 136 yards rushing in eight carries to lead the Knights (13-0) past Sun Valley Poly, 46-13, at Birmingham High.
Four vintage aircraft were practicing maneuvers from above early in the game, and Griffin was the one to stop. He had touchdown runs of 23, 76 and three yards.
After View Park found a way to contain Poly’s D.J. Jones, the Knights were home free. Jones had 147 yards early on but struggled the rest of the way.
